There’s something incredibly exciting about getting new art materials. It really doesn’t matter whether it’s a new sketchbook, pens, colour pencils or paints that I absolutely didn’t need but also definitely did need, I love it, it brings me so much joy.
The best bit about new kit? The possibilities. New materials can nudge your work into unexpected directions. A new and different pen might make you draw different;y, A new colour may lead to a whole new colour palette. You don’t always know where a new material will take you, and not knowing is so much fun.
